FSSAI Registration & Food Licensing

Operate your food business fully licensed and compliant. AVS & Associates handles FSSAI registration and licensing — Basic, State or Central — along with renewals.

FSSAI Registration & Food Licensing

Who Needs an FSSAI License

Any business involved in manufacturing, processing, storing, distributing or selling food in noida must obtain an FSSAI registration or license under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. This includes restaurants, cloud kitchens, food manufacturers, importers, e-commerce food sellers, caterers and home-based food businesses. The 14-digit FSSAI number on your packaging and premises signals compliance and builds customer trust.

AVS & Associates determines the correct category for your business, prepares the application, and manages renewals so you never operate with a lapsed license.

FSSAI Registration

Three Types of FSSAI Approval

The right license depends primarily on your annual turnover and scale of operations.

  • Basic Registration — for small businesses with turnover up to Rs. 12 lakh
  • State License — for medium businesses with turnover between Rs. 12 lakh and Rs. 20 crore
  • Central License — for large operators above Rs. 20 crore, importers and exporters

Selection also depends on production capacity and number of locations

Documents and Renewal

We compile identity and address proof of the proprietor or partners, business constitution documents, a list of food products, the premises layout where required, and a food safety management plan for higher categories. Licenses are issued for one to five years and must be renewed before expiry; we track your renewal date and file in advance to avoid penalties and business disruption.

Operating without a valid FSSAI license can attract significant penalties — our role is to keep your food business fully compliant and audit-ready.

Staying Compliant After Licensing

Obtaining the FSSAI license is only the start of compliance. License holders must display the FSSAI number on packaging and at the premises, maintain hygiene and food-safety standards, keep prescribed records, and in higher categories file periodic returns. Lapses in any of these can lead to inspections, penalties and reputational damage.

We support clients beyond the initial application — handling modifications when you add products or locations, managing renewals well before expiry, and advising on labelling and record-keeping requirements so your food business stays inspection-ready throughout the license period.

One Firm for Food Business Compliance

Beyond FSSAI, most food businesses also need GST registration, trademark protection for their brand, and ongoing accounting and tax compliance. Handling these together means consistent records and no gaps between registrations. We act as a single compliance partner so you can focus on the food and the customers rather than the paperwork.

Food businesses usually pair licensing with GST registration in Noida, trademark registration in Noida and private limited company registration, and, for importers and exporters, IEC code registration.
